Tournament poker

Know what a knockout is actually worth.

A bounty is chips you can't see. Kohunter prices it for the exact spot you're in — field, structure, players left — in about five seconds.

Why it matters

At the table, you get five seconds.

A knockout costs you chips and hands you a bounty. Whether that trade is good depends on the payout structure and how deep the tournament is — and that number is invisible in the moment.
The rule of thumb most players still run pins a bounty to a fixed fraction of the starting stack. But a chip is worth more as the field thins and the money bubble bites. A value that never moves through the tournament is wrong almost the whole way down. Kohunter recomputes it for the spot you're actually in.

“A flat share of the starting stack never moves. By the bubble it's off by a mile.”

How it works

Two modes. One answer: chips.

01

Enter the situation

Room, format, field size, players left, the bounty. Type it — or drop a screenshot of the table and let it fill the fields for you.

02

Fast mode answers instantly

Every room, format and field size is simulated ahead of time, so the estimate for your exact spot is already there. Kohunter just looks it up — nothing to wait on.

03

Precise mode, late in the tournament

Once you can see the whole bounty picture — every remaining bounty, or the average the room publishes for Mystery and Space KO — upload it with the payout screen. An OCR pass reads it into an exact, deterministic value. Usually within reach under ~30–40 players left.

Sixty seconds, start to finish.

Everything else it does.

Multi-table tabs

Up to five tournaments open at once, each tab holding its own numbers while you switch between tables.

Shared live reads

Someone already scanned this running event? Their extraction is offered to you — no second scan, no waiting.

Chips or big blinds

Flip the answer between a raw chip count and BB at the current blind level.

Seven rooms, eight formats

PKO, Mystery, Mega Mystery, Big Bounties, Monster Bounties, Space KO — each calibrated on its own payout maths, not one shared guess.

Made for your phone

Mobile-first and installable to the home screen, so it's there next to the client while you play.

Honest about soft spots

Room and format combinations with thin calibration data are flagged in the app — not buried under a confident number.

Play the number, not the feel.

Priced right, a bounty decision is just arithmetic — and it's one you make dozens of times a session. Getting it right every time, while the rest of the table still guesses, is a quiet edge that compounds.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What's actually behind the number?+

Every room, format and field size is simulated ahead of time — a lot of tournaments, played out to the finish — so fast mode is really just a lookup for the spot you're in. Precise mode instead recomputes the value directly from the exact payout and bounty figures you upload. Either way it moves as the tournament progresses; it isn't pinned to a starting-stack fraction like the common rule of thumb.

How accurate is it, and why two modes?+

Fast mode usually lands within a few percent of precise mode — quick enough for the table, and what you'll use for most of a tournament. Precise mode is exact, but it needs the full bounty picture: every remaining bounty, or the average figure the room publishes (Mystery, Space KO). That's normally only in reach late — under about 30 to 40 players left — so it's the end-game tool, and the one to use when there's serious money on the call or the app flags the room / format as thinly calibrated.

Which rooms and formats?+

Seven rooms today — GGPoker, Winamax, PokerStars (.com and .fr-es-pt), 888, ACR and Coin — across PKO, Mystery, Mega Mystery, Big Bounties, Monster Bounties and Space KO. More arrive as calibration data comes in.

Is this allowed by the poker sites?+

Kohunter reads numbers you can already see and does math you could do by hand given more time. It never touches the client, automates play, or connects to the room.

Is there a free trial?+

Yes — 7 days, full access, cancel anytime before it ends and you won't be charged.
